Quick Counting

Quick counts are a way to speed up the process of a normal cycle count that includes many core value tracked items (LOT, SERIAL, DATE).  Users are able to use all base count types to create quick counts.  To activate a quick count, enter the "Inventory Operations -> Count -> Cycle Count Maintenance" screen and create a new count by entering a count name, description, and count type (Item, bin, or bin only).  Then check the box that says "Quick Count".  This will create the cycle count using the quick counting methods.

Once created, a success message will appear, and you will be able to tell which counts are quick counts by the checkbox on the right side of the screen:

User must then use the corresponding orange button below the count list to assign an item(s) or bin range to the count depending on the count type.

On the mobile device, quick counts will look like normal cycle counts but users will not have to count individual lines for items that have multiple core values (SERIAL, LOT, DATE).   This allows the user to quickly and efficiently count items under the assumption that all core values are accurate within the system.

Additionally, if users are storing their items at the LP level within a bin, the system will prompt the user to enter the number of LPs to count that bin. Upon the user entering the accurate number of LPs within the bin, the count will be completed for all items in that bin location.  In the event that the user enters an inaccurate value for LPs, user will be required to verify specific LPs in the location.

If a recount is necessary after completion of a quick count, the system will create the recount as the base cycle count type that the quick count was initially set up as.  In this instance, the assigned user will be required to verify all core values while counting.
