Item/Zone Assignment

The Item/Zone Assignment page allows users to assign items to specific zones in a warehouse.  The zone must have at least one bin assigned to the zone as well.  This allows the system to check for needed replenishments by viewing the total amount of an item in a specific zone.  This functions very similarly to Item/Bin Assignment but eliminates the need to specify exact bins.  For example, if an item has a minimum quantity of 100, and across the 3 bins within its assigned zone there is a total of 75, the system will direct the user to replenish that zone without specifying a particular bin as long as the zone quantity is fulfilled.  

Navigate to Inventory Operations > Item Tools > Item/Zone Assignment.  

Enter an item number and click GO.

This page will display all the available zones for the item.  

To edit a specific item/zone, click the Edit link

This allows you to set a zone as the primary zone, change replenishment type, set min/max quantities and set a replenishment day/time.  

Make any desired changes and click the Update link to save, or the Cancel link to discard changes.
