Cycle Count Maintenance
Cycle Count Maintenance allows for the creation of cycle count templates, as well as the modification of already created templates. This means that the bins or items to count can be assigned or changed.
This feature is found in the Inventory Operations Tab > Count > Cycle Count Maintenance.
Enter the name of the new cycle count template in the Count Name field.
Enter the description for the new template in the Count Description field.
Select the type from the Count Type drop-down list.
Click the Add button to add the new cycle count template.
Click the Edit link to edit the attributes of an existing template.
Edit Cycle Count Name or Cycle Count Description in the associated text box fields.
Click the Active box to activate or deactivate the template.
Click the Update link to save changes.
Click the Cancel link to exit without saving changes.
Click on links at the bottom of the page to add items or bins to templates.
Item Count –
Allows for cycle counting by items within the warehouse.
Count by Bin –
Allows for cycle counting items existing in a certain range of bins and then counting those same items throughout the facility.
Count by Bin Only –
Allows for cycle counting by a range of bins within the warehouse.
Once the basic count template information, such as name and type, has been entered, the items or bins can be assigned. Below the table of count templates are three links. These three links correspond to the three cycle count types in the Type dropdown box. The process for assignment of items and bins for each type is explained below.
Assign Items to Count by Items
Click the orange Assign Item to Count by Items button.
Select the count from the Select Count drop-down box.
Select item(s) to assign to the selected count.
The right-facing arrow button allows item(s) to be moved from the available items to the box of the selected item.
The All right-facing arrow button allows all items to be moved from the available items to the box of the selected item.
The left-facing arrow button allows item(s) to be moved from the selected items back to the available items box.
The All left-facing arrow button allows all items to be moved from the selected items back to the available items box.
Press the Update button to save changes.
Assign Bins to Count by Bin / Bin Only
Click the orange Assign Bins to Count by Bins or Assign Bins to Count by Bins Only
Select the count from the Select Count drop-down box.
Enter starting bin number range in Minimum Bin text box.
Enter ending bin number range in Maximum Bin text box.
Press the Update button to save changes
There is a difference between Count by Bin, and Count by Bin Only. Count by Bin Only is exclusive to the assigned bin range and does not have the user count the overstock locations for each item found in the bins.
