Bill Of Materials Upload Template
The Bill of Materials Upload document contains the following columns:
Finished Good Item Number – Required
Finished Good Item Type – Required
Finished Good UOM – Required
Finished Good Significant Digits – Optional
Pick Order – Required
Component Item Number – Required
Component Item Type – Required
Component UOM – Required
Component Base Conv Factor – Optional
Component Significant Digits – Optional
Component Quantity Required – Required
Finished Good Item Number
Finished Good Item Number is a required field in the Bill of Materials Upload Excel file. The item number should already be setup within your environment.
Finished Good Item Type
Finished Good Item Type is a required field in the Bill of Materials Upload Excel file. If the item is new, then the item type should be set to one of the following:
Basic
Lot – lot tracking
Date – expiration date tracking
Serial – serial tracking
Finished Good UOM
Finished Good UOM is a required field in the Bill of Materials Upload Excel file. The item number should already be setup with valid UOMs within your environment. For example, there are 24 Cans in every Case. The Can(s) is the Base UOM.
Finished Good Significant Digits
Finished Good Significant Digits is an optional field in the Bill of Materials Upload Excel file. This value represents the number of decimal places WithoutWire will track inventory to for the Item and Unit of Measure associated on the same row. If no value is provided a default value of 5 will be used.
Pick Order
Pick Order is a required field in the Bill of Materials Upload Excel file. This will dictate the order in which components are used in the manufacturing process.
Component Item Number
Component Item Number is a required field in the Bill of Materials Upload Excel file. This column lists the component items used to create finished goods.
Component Item Type
Component Item Type is a required field in the Bill of Materials Upload Excel file. This column will list the item type of the item being used to create finished goods. If the item is new, then the item type should be set to one of the following:
Basic
Lot – lot tracking
Date – expiration date tracking
Serial – serial tracking
Component UOM
Component UOM is a required field in the Bill of Materials Upload Excel file. This will represent the unit of measure for the component used to create the finished good.
Component Base Conv Factor
Component Base Conv Factor is an optional field in the Bill of Materials Upload Excel file. This represents the number of the lowest UOM required to comprise the specified UOM in column H. For example, if 24 cans are in every case and case is listed in column H, the base conversion factor would be 24.
Component Significant Digits
Component Significant Digits is an optional field in the Bill of Materials Upload Excel file. This value represents the number of decimal places WithoutWire will track inventory to for the Item and Unit of Measure associated on the same row. If no value is provided a default value of 5 will be used.
Component Quantity Required
Component Quantity Required is a required field in the Bill of Materials Upload Excel file. This field will indicate the quantity of the component item required to create the finished good.
