Acquire Barcode

Acquire Barcode is a function that allows you to associate an existing Item to a new Barcode. Once this association occurs, you can then leverage the newly created Barcode for this Item.  If an operator attempts to acquire a Barcode and associate it to an Item that already exists in the system, the user will receive a message saying that this Item/Barcode association already exists. There are two ways to go use this function throughout the WithoutWire Application. The first way is through Receiving. The second is through the Main Screen scan. 

Acquire Barcode Through Receiving

Select a Purchase Order to enter into.

Select the Item you wish to acquire a new Barcode to.

Swipe left on the Item line and a green box will appear saying “Acquire Barcode.”

Acquire Barcode Through Main Screen Scan

From the main screen of the application, scan either an Item Barcode, License Plate Barcode, or Bin Barcode. Locate the Item you wish to acquire a new Barcode to. Swipe left on the Item line and a green box will appear saying “Acquire Barcode.”

Once you are on the Acquire Barcode page, follow these steps below to complete the Barcode association:

Tap on the “Acquire Barcode” box and it will bring you to the “Acquire Barcode” screen.

Enter in your new Barcode number/text and tap Submit.

Scanning the new Barcode will associate it with the Item.
